One Marathon held in two provinces two cities!
At 7:30 am on April 29, Hunan-Hubei Provinces Dragon-Phoenix Two-city Marathon 2023 was held in Laifeng County (the city where Jiayue Pins manufacturing base is located), Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province, and Longshan County, Xiangxi Prefecture, Hunan Province. Marathon runners and runners from all over the world measured the “vigorous dragon and phoenix”, the urban charm of “unity dragon and phoenix” and “characteristic dragon and phoenix” with their footsteps, touching the historical pulse of the two cities.
The starting gun fired, and more than 20,000 runners rushed out of the starting line like an arrow from the string, starting from Zhaxitai Square in Laifeng County, along Wuhan Avenue, passing through Xishangnong Shopping Mall, and rushed to Longshan Avenue. Running along the beautiful Youshui River, runners can enjoy the scenery along the way, feel the pleasant climate, and taste the dreamlike, cloudy and rosy “dragon and phoenix” scenery. There are sceneries and warmth along the way. The beautiful green mountains and green waters, the profound and rich cultural heritage, and the simple and enthusiastic Tujia people, all cheer for the runners!
For this Marathon, the two cities of “Dragon and Phoenix” are systematically planned and carefully organized. Around the core areas of Laifeng and Longshan, they fully integrate the characteristics of tourism resources, Tujia and Miao minorities customs, ecological health care and other elements of the two cities, creating a unique “cross-province” with national characteristics.
The theme track allows the contestants to fully experience the beautiful sceneries of the two cities being geographically adjacent and culturally close. The contestants ran on this track, appreciating the outstanding people and Tujia style of Laifeng and Longshan, performing infinite splendor with strength and passion, and showing youthful vitality with running and speed.
After hot competition, in the 42.195 km marathon 2023 men’s event, Peng Jianhua won the first place with a time of 2 hours, 24 minutes and 30 seconds, Shu Changhua won the second place with a time of 2 hours, 25 minutes and 17 seconds, and Liu Jun won the second place with a time of 2 hours, 27 minutes and 47 seconds. In the women’s group, Huang Fei won the first place with a time of 3 hours, 1 minute and 23 seconds, Jia Yaya won the second place with a time of 3 hours, 3 minutes and 26 seconds, and Ma Ting won the third place with a time of 3 hours, 9 minutes and 5 seconds.
In the 21.0975 km half marathon 2023 men’s event, Tan Qi won the first place with a time of 1 hour, 09 minutes and 09 seconds, Sun Zongyang won the second place with a time of 1 hour, 09 minutes and 15 seconds, and Zhu Jiali won the second place with a time of 1 hour, 10 minutes and 37 seconds In the women’s category, Zhang Ni won the first place with a time of 1 hour, 22 minutes and 26 seconds, Hu Xiaoling won the second place with a time of 1 hour, 27 minutes and 57 seconds, and Chen Zhimin won the third place with a time of 1 hour, 28 minutes and 57 seconds.
The Hunan-Hubei Dragon-Phoenix Two-city Marathon 2023 consists of four events: Marathon, Half Marathon, Longteng Healthy Run, and Phoenix Dance Happy Run. The prize money is generous. Not only there are ranking awards but also the Dragon-Phoenix Resident Awards are specially set up.
It is the consistent insistence of Longfeng Marathon 2023 that every runner can finish the race safely. The organizing committee of the event has set up a five-level medical system to hold on to the gold-four-minute aid time. Starting from 5km, set up a supply station every 2.5km, and set up 15 supply stations in total. 19 medical stations were set up at the starting point and along the track, 23 emergency vehicles were deployed, more than 100 emergency personnel were recruited, 1,400 volunteers were recruited, and 1,500 police officers were deployed to ensure that this sports feast was carried out safely, efficiently, wonderfully and successfully.
The marathon event is sponsored by the People’s Government of Laifeng County and the People’s Government of Longshan County. The supervision unit is the Hubei Provincial Athletics Association and the Enshi Prefecture Culture and Tourism Bureau, organized by All Marathon Sports Operations company.
